From estimate to a live bot scenario

Carry the same logic into Veles: set comparable parameters, preview the order grid, then backtest before you launch.

    1. Match direction, leverage, grid, Martingale, and TP/SL
    2. Inspect orders, capital allocation, and average entry
    3. Stress-test fees, drawdown, and MAE in a backtest

    Assumptions & conventions

    • Linear USDT-margined PnL; fees on entry and exit notional.
    • Manual maker/taker rates — not live VIP schedules.
    • Educational estimate only — not financial advice or live exchange data.

    Frequently asked questions

How are futures trading fees calculated?

Fees = entryRate × entryNotional + exitRate × exitNotional. entryRate/exitRate come from maker or taker selection per leg. Gross PnL follows linear long/short futures math.

Net PnL = gross − total fees.

Maker vs taker on entry and exit

Choose maker or taker independently for open and close. Limit fills often map to maker; market fills to taker. Mixed legs are common in scaled exits.

Rates are manual percents converted to decimals — not live VIP tables.

    What is fee drag percent?

Fee drag percent = total fees ÷ entry notional — fees as a fraction of opening exposure. feesAsPctOfGross compares fees to absolute gross PnL when gross ≠ 0.

Useful when gross profit is small relative to round-trip costs.

    Does this include funding?

No. Only explicit trading fees on entry and exit notional. Funding accrual during the hold is modeled in the funding calculator.

Same as the main futures PnL calculator?

PnL shape matches, but this tool splits maker/taker per leg instead of a single taker rate. Use it when entry and exit fee types differ.

Break-even and spot PnL cover non-leveraged fee geometry.
