Carry the same logic into Veles: set comparable parameters, preview the order grid, then backtest before you launch.
- Match direction, leverage, grid, Martingale, and TP/SL
- Inspect orders, capital allocation, and average entry
- Stress-test fees, drawdown, and MAE in a backtest
Assumptions & conventions
- Per-side fee on entry and exit notional; same rate both legs.
- No funding, slippage, or partial fills.

Frequently asked questions
What is break-even price in crypto trading?
Break-even price is the exit level where gross PnL equals round-trip trading fees so net PnL is zero. Long exits must sit above entry; shorts below entry once fees are included.
This calculator uses a per-side fee rate on entry and exit notional. It does not model funding, slippage, or partial fills.
How is long break-even price calculated?
For a long with per-side fee rate f, break-even exit ≈ entry × (1 + f) / (1 − f). Fees on both legs push the required exit above entry even when price unchanged.
Enter f as a decimal after the UI converts human percents (0.04% → 0.0004).
How is short break-even price calculated?
For a short, break-even exit ≈ entry × (1 − f) / (1 + f). You need price to fall far enough to cover fees on entry and exit notional.
Distance from entry is shown as a percent of entry for quick comparison with your take-profit target.
Does break-even include funding or leverage?
No. Only explicit per-side trading fees on entry and exit notional are included. Funding accrual, borrow interest, and liquidation are out of scope.
Pair this tool with the funding calculator for holding costs and futures PnL for leveraged outcomes.
Why is my break-even above my take-profit target?
That usually means fees plus a small target move cannot cover round-trip costs on your size. Widen the target, reduce fees (maker vs taker), or size down.
Use the take-profit or multi take-profit calculators to compare net targets after fees.
