Frequently asked questions

What are crypto trading calculators used for?

Crypto trading calculators estimate futures PnL, liquidation price, position size, funding cost, DCA/Martingale ladders, grid spacing, stop-loss / take-profit outcomes, and risk/reward before you place an order.

They turn leverage, margin, fees, and price levels into transparent numbers you can compare across scenarios. Converters on this site solve a different job: turning BTC, ETH, SOL, USDT, or RUB amounts into another currency using a market rate.

Are these crypto calculators free?

Yes. Every calculator and converter here is free to use in the browser. No account, subscription, or API key is required.

You enter your own assumptions (prices, quantity, leverage, fees, MMR) and the page recomputes instantly on-device.

Are calculator results the same as Binance or Bybit?

No. Outputs are educational estimates based on published formula conventions and the values you enter — not live exchange engine results.

Venues differ on mark price, tiered maintenance margin, insurance funds, funding accrual, and wallet buffers. Always verify liquidation, margin, and fees in your exchange UI before trading.

What is the difference between a trading calculator and a crypto converter?

A trading calculator models trade math: PnL, liquidation, position sizing, funding, DCA ladders, or grid intervals. A crypto converter only multiplies an amount by a FX/crypto rate (for example BTC to USD or USDT to RUB).

Use calculators when planning leverage and risk; use converters for quick currency valuation.

How should I enter percent fields (fees, risk, funding)?

Enter human percents: type 1 for 1%, 0.08 for 0.08%, or 0.01 for a 0.01% funding rate. The UI converts those inputs to decimals before the formula layer runs.

Hints under each field show the expected format so you do not accidentally enter 0.01 when you meant 1%.

Do calculator settings transfer into Veles automatically?

No. The Veles CTA opens the bot builder in a new tab. You manually mirror comparable settings — direction, leverage, grid or Martingale parameters, and TP/SL — then backtest before launch.

Treat the calculator as a planning layer, not an order ticket.

Which calculator should beginners start with?

Start with position size and risk/reward to cap downside, then futures or long/short PnL to estimate outcomes, and liquidation if you trade leveraged perpetuals.

If you run bots, use the DCA/Martingale and grid calculators to stress capital and range before deploying.

Veles

From estimate to a live bot scenario

Carry the same logic into Veles: set comparable parameters, preview the order grid, then backtest before you launch.

  1. Match direction, leverage, grid, Martingale, and TP/SL
  2. Inspect orders, capital allocation, and average entry
  3. Stress-test fees, drawdown, and MAE in a backtest
